Mr Albert Edward Harris, AC, F.INST.D, FAICD, FAIM (President)

Mr Harris is Chairman or a Director of the Board of a number of public companies.  He has previously served on the Regional Board of St Vincent’s Hospital and the Boards of St Vincent’s Private Hospital and St Vincent’s Clinic and many other Government and public organisations.

 

 

Dr Maxwell Coleman

Dr Coleman was formerly a surgeon on the St Vincent's Campus for over 30 years and Program Director in Surgery of St Vincent's General Hospital.  He has served as Chairman of the Board in General Surgery of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and spent five years on the Council of the College.  He recently chaired the Centenary Committee of St Vincent's Private Hospital.  He is currently researching the Surgical History of St Vincent's Hospital and is Honorary Treasurer of the Mosman Art Society.

 

Dr Brett Courtenay

Brett Courtenay is an Orthopaedic Surgeon whose practice is on St Vincent’s Campus.  He has been a VMO at St Vincent’s since 1984.  His early residency was at St Vincent’s commencing in 1975 and finished the orthopaedic training scheme at St Vincent’s in 1982.  He is involved with many committees at St Vincent’s and NSW Health.  He is active in the Australian Army Medical Corps having been deployed to the Solomon Islands, Timor, Banda Aceh and Afghanistan.  He is a former director of MBF Australia Group.

 

Mr Robert Cusack

Mr Cusack has been the Executive Director of St Vincent’s Private and The Mater Hospitals since 1st July 2008.

He has an extensive Health Management background in public, private and not for profit health facilities covering acute, sub acute, community and aged care. 

He has over 30 years experience in the health care industry, with more than 20 years of this experience having been at the senior executive level including CEO roles at a number of major hospitals in the ACT and NSW. The majority of this experience has been in large teaching and research hospitals, and in mid sized hospital environments of which 25 years experience was in public hospitals and healthcare, and the last 10 years experience in private hospitals.

He is an Associate Fellow of the Australian College of Health Services Executives and is a past President of the ACT Branch of the College. He was also a National Councillor with the Australian Healthcare Association.

He is currently a member of the Australian Private Hospitals Associations National Council and has been a surveyor with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards since 1997.

 

Mr Peter Falk, OAM

Mr Falk is a Chartered Accountant, Associate Securities Institute of Australia.  Stockbroker since 1979, after 12 years in Merchant Banking.  He is a past Chairman Carbine Club of NSW, a Member of Legacy Sydney Corporate Panel and a past Committee Member of Australian Jockey Club.  He is involved in many sporting organisations, including Rugby Union, Attaché for Canada Sydney Olympics 2000, Ambassador National Gallery 2002-2004 and Committee Member of St Vincent’s Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Mrs Roslyn Packer, AO

Mrs Roslyn Packer AO has been personally associated with St Vincent's Hospital for over 45 years.  A member of the Board of Trustees of St Vincent's Foundation, Mrs Packer has also served on the Board of St Vincent's Private Hospital, as Patron of the Ladies Committee and on the Centenary Committee of St Vincent's Private Hospital.  Additional health care roles have included membership of the Board of Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.

Mrs Packer has strong interest and many years experience in the arts and charitable organisations.  She currently serves on the Board of the National Gallery of Australia and previous roles have included Member of the Board of Directors of the Sydney Festival and Member of the Advisory Committee for Christies Australia Limited.

 

Dr Janet Rimmer

Dr Janet Rimmer is a respiratory physician and allergist who trained in Australia including undertaking an MD thesis entitled “Histamine releasability in asthma” at the Garvan Institute in Sydney.  She then undertook further research and clinical training overseas (Prof Steven Holgate’s group at the Dept Immunopharmacology, Southampton and the Brompton Hospital, London).  She is primarily a clinician but has been involved in professional organisations including the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (NSW State President, National Honorary Secretary, Treasurer ICACI), Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (Convenor of the Asthma and Allergy SIG), National Asthma Council (Director and ASCIA representative), St Vincent’s Clinic (Chair of the Board),  St Vincent’s Private Hospital (Chair Medical Credentials Committee) and Sydney Hospital (Honorary Secretary Department of Medicine and Deputy Chair Combined Medical Council). She has been part of the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research for 19 years involved in research projects and clinical trials related to asthma, rhinitis and allergic disease.

 

Ms Michelle Wilson

Michelle is the Executive Director of St Vincent's Clinic and a Trustee since 2001.  She is the company secretary for St Vincent's Clinic .  She has a background in private and public health and community services as both a clinician and in managerial roles.  Ms Wilson has a strong interest in supporting programs that promote social justice.
